The atmosphere in Dortmund was fenomenal, only a bit dampened by Leverkusen winning 3-2. We had seats in the middle of dortmundfans, so we too had hide our joy over Leverkusen's victory.”

While the club suffered a drought in La Liga, it enjoyed immense success in the Copa del Rey. Athletic Bilbao won six Copa del Rey titles between 1955 and 1984. The Lions won the title again in the 2023/24 last season, beating RCD Mallorca 4-2 on penalties. Dani Rodriguez had put Mallorca ahead in the 21st minute, butOihan Sancet scored the equalizer in the 50th minute to take the game into penalties.
FC Barcelona is one of the most successful clubs in Spain and Europe. The club’s most successful era came under Pep Guardiola, who first took charge in 2008 following Rijkaard’s departure.
