2024 UEFA Champions League quarterfinals matches:

The headline tie is the Arsenal vs Real Madrid clash. That encounter has garnered the most hype across the globe, with the Gunners securing a 3-0 victory over Los Blancos in the first leg of their quarter-final tie. With Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Bellingham in the team, nobody expected Real Madrid to lose in that manner.

Many believe the Spanish giants are still in the game and can overturn the deficit when Arsenal travel to the Bernabeu for the return fixture.

In another blockbuster game, Paris Saint-Germain will host newcomers Aston Villa in the first leg of their quarter-final encounter. Aston Villa has performed beyond everyone’s expectations this season, going through the league phase before knocking out Club Brugge in the round of 16. Villa was one of the eight teams that gained automatic qualification to the round of 16.

Elsewhere, FC Barcelona will clash against last season’s finalist Borussia Dortmund in another quarter-final round. The Catalans have been one of the best teams in the competition this season and only finished behind Liverpool in the league phase. They’re considered stronger than Borussia Dortmund and may eventually book a spot in the final if all goes well for Hansi Flick in his first season at the club.

In the fourth encounter of the quarter-final round, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich will battle it out. The Italian champions beat the Bavarians 2-1 in the first leg to set up a thrilling second leg at home later in April 2025. Inter made it to the UCL final two years ago, where the club lost to Manchester City. Inzaghi and his men will look to make another trip to the final and have another shot for their first title since 2010.
